Is there a reputable acting coach in the Kansas City area that doesn't charge a king's ransom for lessons? I looked at one website and the price was $165.00 for 1 day per week for 4 weeks (I wouldn't be able to feed my family paying that!!)

I'm looking into doing voice over work and would like to start by getting an acting coach (as recommended by many) before I get a demo made. I do various cartoon like voices etc..

Thanks for your time!!!

Brenda:

I'm glad you enjoyed the play. And as for Victor, fear not--he is presently a happy resident of Overland Park, and is therefore welcomed as a local actor. Our principles remain intact!

I enjoyed seeing "Glengarry Glen Ross" last week. I was surprised that Victor Raider-Wexler was included in the cast, though, since he is not from the Kansas City area. Doesn't that violate one of the founding principles of your organization?

We’d like to go in the direction of a full year season; it’s just a little out of our financial reach at the moment. Thanks, so much, Gus, for letting us know that our work is getting out there and reaching people.

It’s no secret that financial times are very hard, and our funding has suffered. Yes, we’ve been forced to dramatically scale back our productions this year to just the one show, and frankly, we’re very glad we can afford one! We have our eyes fixed on next year, however, and we’ve been able to enlist the aid of a brand new Development Director who will help us to get back to a multi-play season in 2010.

Meantime, we’re very excited about Glengarry Glen Ross and we’re putting our full weight behind making it a memorable night in the theatre.

We've really enjoyed your shows. Think we've seen most of them... which leads to my question: is the third past productions photo down on your home page really Taking Sides??? I would have thought Translations.
Just got tickets to Glengarry and looking forward to it.

We do, of course, hold auditions. Usually we have general auditions once a year (scheduling varies) and we hold callbacks for individual shows. Anyone interested in auditioning need merely let us know, and you'll go in the local artist databank.

Hey Mark
Glad to see you are doing Glengarry! What a sweet script-do you hold auditions for the Actors Theatre? How does one get involved?
Thanks
